Tuxedo Mask
Tuxedo Mask is Mamoru's alter-ego that
fights alongside and protects Sailor Moon and the other senshi. His signature
red rose and cane are his weapons of choice. He fights using surprise and his
defensive attacks to protect the senshi. For a time he is unaware of his
alter-ego. He falls into a deep sleep and then awakens as Tuxedo Mask to fight
with the senshi. He doesn't realize that he's Tuxedo Mask for quite some time
but searches for the rainbow crystals that will lead him to the princess in his
dreams. Tragically, he finds his princess just as he is taken by Beryl and
brainwashed. After many battles and attempts to regain Tuxedo Mask, the senshi
go after Beryl herself. In the end, Sailor Moon kills Tuxedo Mask to save him
and then vanquishes Beryl with a final wish that they could all go back and just
be normal again. The crystal grants her wish and they pick up their lives on
earth as if nothing has ever happened. Unfortunately, evil rears it's ugly head
and the senshi are called into action once more. Moonlight Knight appears to
protect the senshi during this time as Tuxedo Mask is unable to do so. However,
once Ann and Ail are healed, he remembers his alter-ego and Moonlight Knight
disappears. Until Mamoru leaves for America to continue his college learning, he
protects Usagi with every fiber in his body as their love grows.
