Mamoru Chiba
Prince Endymion was reborn on earth as
Mamoru Chiba. His younger years were spent in pain and broken childhood as his
parents were killed in a fatal car accident that only he survived. He lost many
of his memories at that time and was left only with his name. He spent many
years in foster homes, a ward of the state until he moved out on his own at 18
years old. At the beginning of the Sailor Moon series, he is in college pursuing
his bachelor degree. At first meeting with Usagi, they become bittersweet
enemies, each one attracted to the other for unexplained reasons that are not
discovered until they find out their identities as Prince Endymion and Princess
Serenity. From that point onward, they endure endless battles with only fleeting
moments for each other but they persevere and in the end, love wins out.
